The Republic of Tanzania in East Africa is, because of its political stability, a large receiver of budget aid and attractive for tourists, who visit the game parks as well as the natural beauty of Zanzibar and Mount Kilimanjaro. Nevertheless, the country has difficulties getting out of the bottom ten percent of the world's economies in terms of per capita income and improving its human development (rank 151 in the 2007 UN Human Development Index).

We work in the poorest part of the country – the south – where we run a kindergarten, two technical schools, and three dispensaries.
